Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the category management of Agilent manufacturing materials, components, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
  • Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D and Marketing.
  • Establishes and manages supplier relationships including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance (using TQRDCE) and researching/selecting/analyzing the market supply base.
  • May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure best total cost of ownership, availability and inventory optimization.
  • May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts and value add, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, supply chain improvements, risk mitigation/avoidance, commodity strategy development, cost reduction, sustainability and/or quality.
  • May consider specific regulatory or compliance regulations pertaining to specific categories or products.
  • May have global responsibility and/or support multiple sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years experience in category management or related roles
  • Supplier management experience
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
