Job Description

As a Category Manager, you inspire teams to connect everyone with a drinks experience they’ll love. You support the development and oversee the execution of the 6 - 18 month category strategy (inc product mix, pricing, marketing promotion strategy and distribution) for Endeavour Group or within a retail brand. You work closely with the Category team and cross functional team to manage the commercial and go to market proposition, whilst delivering on core business priorities.

  • Category Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the 6-18 month category strategy, including product mix, pricing, marketing promotion, and distribution.
  • Data-Driven Growth: Leverage data and insights to understand customer trends, driving continuous improvement and sustainable brand growth.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate across teams and suppliers to ensure efficient on-time delivery of products, marketing campaigns, and promotions in line with the Customer Trade Plan.
  • Industry Expertise: Build deep industry knowledge and develop promotional and marketing campaign strategies to meet sales and KPI objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire your team by role-modelling values, building commitment to business strategies, and developing future leaders through feedback and succession planning.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • 5+ years of experience in buying, marketing, or commercial roles, particularly within retail, drinks, or business development.
  • Strong knowledge of category management, including leveraging customer data and insights, with confidence in the drinks industry.
  • Proven ability to work across different categories and functions, with strong negotiation skills and experience in matrix structures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of leading dynamic and agile teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly regarded in the FMCG and/or Liquor industry, with the ability to translate customer insights into meaningful actions.
