INTRODUCTION SENTENCE

We are looking for an analytical and proactive Category Manager to join our lively and diverse Category and Purchasing team. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for the largest category - Fragrances - from a strategic point of view within the online beauty business environment.

YOUR ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • You have extensive experience managing a commercial category in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Beauty, lifestyle or fashion background is a plus!
  • You have a strong understanding of KPIs and how to impact them
  • You can proficiently manage the day to day operations in terms of assortment and inventory management
  • You are keen on streamlining processes and procedures
  • You have a mindset focused on driving financial success and achieving KPIs
  • You are proactive and a strong communicator. You are able to build your network fast and successfully collaborate with various stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • You are part of the category & purchasing team and responsible for ensuring the commercial category performance as well as overseeing all user touch points within the fragrance category
  • You know your KPIs and how to work with a P&L
  • You report on the status and health of your assortment, making sure that you know the characteristic peculiarities and workings of the category. Your ultimate goal is financial success on both the top and bottom line
  • Your great analytical skills continuously derive category insights and turn customer, market and competition data into actionable next steps
  • Using market data, you evaluate opportunities to enhance the assortment. This includes amongst others seasonal items, limited editions, white spots or brands we need to onboard and delist. You live for informed decision making and your recommendations are based on data
  • Your function is truly based on cross functional collaboration. You align closely with your purchasing counterparts and work with stakeholders in pricing, campaign, retail media and supply chain. This ensures the attractiveness, availability and financial performance of your category.
  • Additionally you ensure a great shopping experience by providing category specific knowledge to optimize navigation, category pages, filters and PDPs
