THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Category Manager to join our high performing Grocery & Ingredients team on a 13 month maternity cover contract. Reporting into the Head of Portfolio – Grocery & Ingredients, you will be an integral member of the Portfolio Marketing & Category team leading consumer, category, brand and customer data insight, to enable decision making that drives the strategic direction of the portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially savvy Category Manager who gets stuff done. You will have a proven track-record of success and be able to demonstrate strong category disciplines. Vital to your success will be your positive attitude, growth mindset, and ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional collaboration to achieve portfolio objectives.
- Lead collaboration with retailers to boost category profit and support sales teams with reviews and key projects.
- Create performance tracking tools to monitor customer and channel performance, highlighting issues and opportunities.
- Use data to influence stakeholders across product, price, promotion, and place (4P mix).
- Identify growth drivers to feed into channel-specific actionable plans.
- Help create and execute 3-year strategic and annual plans for retail channel.
