In this role you will be responsible for developing the business in the long run, in close cooperation with team members, divisions, and the network, in the global strategic supply organization in Baden, Switzerland, driving continuous improvement and change.
Reporting to the Global Category Manager Components, you will develop, plan and implement the Supply Chain Strategy for an assigned category.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reaching defined Supply Management targets (mainly quality, logistics and total cost) for the assigned category.
  • Work out purchasing strategy and implementation of the same. Focus on optimizing total costs, product quality and logistic performance. Environmental aspects such as the Co2 neutral footprint of our products are of growing importance and should be an integrated part of the strategy.
  • Frequent review of supply risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation actions to ensure resilient supply chain.
  • Responsible for supplier evaluation, qualification, development, price and frame agreement negotiations.
  • Define & constant improvement of supply chain with focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes.
  • Represent Supply Management in product development projects and ramp-up until serial release and stable supply.
  • Responsible for relocation of parts until first article inspection passed and transfer to buyer organization.
  • Initiate and handling of design modification requests with design.
  • Support buyer organization in case of supply escalation.

Your background:

  • Master’s degree as industrial engineer or similar.
  • Additional post-studies and professional experience as Category Manager or Project Manager in an international context would be a strong asset
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • A collaborative and solution-focused approach paired with effective communication skills and relentless execution would complete your profile.
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel of up to 20%
