We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Electrics Procurement Team within the central organization. This diverse team, comprises of professionals from various countries, provides great exposure to international supply chain management and electrics procurement across multiple business areas. You will be working with cross functional teams and gain hands-on experience in global electrics procurement across multiple business areas. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration and practical problem-solving. Responsibilities:

  • Global category management for low voltage components (contactors, breakers, connectors), IoT hardware (Telecom devices), transformers, and other electronic components(Resistors, Filters, suppressors and stabilators )
  • Create and maintain category strategies and action plans to achieve strategic targets and annual cost reduction goals.
  • Identify and map stakeholder requirements within the category to ensure alignment.
  • Support Engineering on NPD projects.
  • Prepare and lead negotiations with suppliers, ensuring the establishment of effective Supplier Agreements in line with Konecranes standards.
  • Actively drive Cost reduction projects for the category responsibility.
  • Drive supplier segmentation initiatives to consolidate and allocate spend towards capable and competitive suppliers.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on the status and activities within categories.
  • Act as a supplier manager, accountable for maintaining strong relationships with selected suppliers.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers to ensure Konecranes maintains a competitive advantage and mitigates supply disruption risks.
  • Facilitate collaboration among category stakeholders and lead the Supplier Manager Network.
  • Analyse industry trends and supplier capabilities to inform negotiation strategies and category development.
