Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 5yrs of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, or supplier relationship management
  • Strategy development experience with effective decision-making and negotiation skills; ability to influence internal and external teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
  • Proficient with MS Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience sourcing for metal components and suppliers
  • Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities effectively

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In support of Global Sourcing, the Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for managing key supplier relationships to enhance and align with the commodity strategy and ensure a consistent balance of value year over year across quality, service, and cost. This role will exert strategic influence and foster beneficial relationships with active third-party suppliers and relevant internal teams to boost sourcing efficiency. NOTE: This position is hybrid, which will require you to work on-site at least three days a week.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Overseeing supplier performance and identifying opportunities within the Value Improvement Program to enhance Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Partnering with key stakeholders and leveraging supplier relationships to create a sustainable competitive advantage and mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Developing should-cost models for major sub-commodities to drive negotiations and secure value improvements; manage supplier contracts
  • Contributing to supplier stratification efforts and develop capability roadmaps with supplier engineering and Commodity Management as part of the commodity strategy.
  • Initiating early engagement with new suppliers to achieve development goals, support project timelines, and manage product costs
  • Engaging with site operational procurement teams to streamline operations
  • Owning the annual budget process for assigned suppliers and resolve crises or systematic issues
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks within the commodity
  • Sharing information with other Global Sourcing teams to optimize the supply base
  • Fostering a continuous improvement work environment that supports BSC’s Quality Policy and Quality System; ensure proper training is completed and documented for all staff
