Description:

Are you ready to take full ownership of a dynamic product portfolio and lead its success from strategy to execution? As our Category Manager - Medical Devices, you will oversee the entire product life cycle, shaping the marketing mix, pricing, promotions, and customer engagement.
You’ll define the market strategy, identify key customer needs, and work cross-functionally to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing support. With a focus on driving growth and innovation, this role will see you act as a critical interface between marketing, sales, and customer service while leading a dedicated team of three. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact on our business and drive product excellence.
You will manage the entire life cycle and marketing mix incl. pricing, product, communication, promotion, customer targeting, internal and external training of the product lines.

Strategically :

  • You define where to play and how to win for the assigned product portfolio from market, competition and customer need identification to defining the value proposition, growth strategy and marketing activation for new and existing products and translate them into specific customer benefits and product requirements.

Operationally :

  • You act as the first line technical support for the customers with regard to product application and inquiries. You manage product launches from supplier contacts to pricing - margins, administration/SAP, margins, activation in promotion, communication, fairs,etc.
  • You are a critical interface between the marketing, sales, customer service and purchase dept.

You drive and participate in multifunctional teams where you perform as the expert of the product.

  • You will have 3 colleagues reporting directly to you.
  • You report to the managing director.

About You

  • 3 -5 years experience with medical devices / equipment and consumables in animal healthcare, alternatively in human healthcare / diagnostics is an important asset.
  • Preferably, you are a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Alternatively you can have a master degree in applied economic science, marketing with experience in animal healthcare.
  • You have an open and enthusiast personality and are capable to communicate effectively while working in a dynamic multi-skilled team.
  • Business acumen, animal healthcare market insights and good commercial skills to translate the expectations and needs of veterinarians into relevant benefits is key.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, French and Dutch.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft applications.
