JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly-experienced and strategic individual to join our team as the Category Manager for Wellness. This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the wellness category, ensuring product excellence and driving market growth. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of category management, product lifecycle, and market analysis. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product strategy and drive category performance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CATEGORY MANAGER IN WELLNESS

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in category management or product management, preferably in the wellness or health industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and market insights to inform category strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving category goals.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in category management software and tools, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR WELLNESS CATEGORY LEADERSHIP

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in the wellness or health industry.
  • Certification in category management or retail management (e.g., CPM, CPCM).

  • Promotion Planning: Develop and execute promotional strategies to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
  • Sales Analysis: Track and analyze sales data to identify patterns, assess product performance, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align category strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure optimal stock levels and manage product assortment to meet consumer demand and minimize waste.
