You might be a seasoned Category Manager in the retail/convenience space or ready to step up into an opportunity such as this!
You must have high energy and be invigorated by the challenge that lies ahead of us. You’ll work fluidly through a time of change and ambiguity – taking it in your stride and running with it.
With natural entrepreneurial skills, B2B experience and a real passion for seeking out solutions you will be creative yet able to work within the compliance framework to achieve results. A real hungry do-er with strong commercial acumen a solid track record of negotiating great buying outcomes is what you will be known for.
It goes without saying that you will have strong problem solving and decision-making skills, be an expert with data, trends and analysis and will be an amazing natural communicator with the ability to really collaborate.

Responsibilities:

Working within our Wholesale Supply regulated team – you’ll provide expert knowledge across a range of categories to continually build our wholesale supply offering, whilst ensuring we remain compliant.
You will be collaborating with a broad range of suppliers and internal stakeholders, running each category as a strategic business unit - driving sales and performance, focused on growing market share and delivering value to customers.
With an absolute passion for retail/convenience, you’ll live and breathe the journey focused on effective category management.
This is a great opportunity to drive commercial negotiation with suppliers, working to really understand supplier viewpoints and provide solutions – all while building strong relationships across the co-op.
