Description:
We are currently recruiting Full Time and Part Time Catering Assistants, for our Finglas Nursing home.
*We will be hosting a recruitment day on 30th January 2025. If we wish to proceed with your application, you will be contacted with a timeslot for your interview. *

Responsibilities:
- Meeting agreed on timelines in ensuring all crockery, utensils and condiments are collected, washed and available on time for mealtimes.
- Load dishwasher after each serving on all floors, unloading once complete
- Set tables for lunches and teatime on all floors at agreed times
- Transfer trolleys to and from the kitchen in a timely manner inline with service needs
- Clean trolleys before and after each serving
- Stock check on all floors after each serving
- Assist service and cleaning on all floors as required
- Ensuring all serving and eating areas are clean
- Adherence to the safe storage and use of all food and cleaning products
- Compliance with HACCP guidelines as directed by the Head Chef ensuring all work practices are in line with regulations
- Ensure all the equipment is cleaned to a high standard as directed
- Ensuring waste is to a minimum
- Rotate where necessary to meet the catering demands of the role as directed.
- Qualifications and Skills
- Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday is essential.
- Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
- Be comfortable working in a sometimes, challenging environment.
- Have a good level of English language skills.
