Description:

The catering department at City Hospital is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Assistant to work within patient services initially at City Hospital, Birmingham and then at our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick within patient services
Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative.
Hours 24 hours per week
Shift pattern
Week 1 - Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 10.00am - 16.30pm.
Week 2 - Thursday, Friday , Saturday and Sunday 10.00am - 16.30pm
Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required.
Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to an informal open day and if successful will then be invited to a formal interview.
To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with Staff, Patients and Members of the Public.
Duties include washing up patient crockery and cutlery, reheating patient food, dealing with any requests from wards, associated general/deep cleaning duties and completion of control paperwork.
