SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent and/or experience
  • Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience working in an aged care setting or hotel environment
  • Flexibility in adapting to a changing roster
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to effectively work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Join our dynamic team as a Catering Assistant in our Hawksbury Gardens Residential Facility in Salisbury North! You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Hotel Services Department by preparing delicious meals and providing exceptional kitchen support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Help prepare and present freshly cooked meals and provide suitable alternatives to accommodate residents with allergies, particular dietary requests and those who observe religious beliefs
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager, Chef and Cook to plan a well-balanced, healthy and fresh menu
  • Complete food orders within the allocated budget and the appropriate timescales for deliveries
  • Keep up to date with Residents’ needs
  • Follow resident’s dietary requirements
