CATERING COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:
Detail oriented, service driven individual who is obsessively passionate about providing memorable experiences to all guests through planning and executing seamless events.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:
- Proven luxury hotel experience within the meeting and events industry.
- Must have good knowledge of food and beverage. Banquet experience and asset.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Opera Clouds and OSEM and Social Tables floorplan program an asset.
- Confident in understanding and explaining contractual information to clients.
- Results oriented, positive, service driven with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
- Adapts to change with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for guest service and a desire to be a part of a driven team.
- Must be very flexible with work hours to correspond with department, guest & business demands. May be required to work some weekends as business dictates.
- A strong team player, able to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A good problem solver, confident, energetic and flexible.
- Able to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate all aspects of catering events, from initial inquiry to post event follow-up
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences
- Liaise with culinary and front of house teams to ensure efficient execution of catering orders
- Liaise with in-house audio-visual team
- Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination to guarantee a flawless guest experience
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, contracts, billing information
- Working with accounting manager to ensure payments are up to date
- Looking after all tour catering bookings
- Assist in working with wedding market
- Uphold high standards of service and presentation and professionalism
- Administrative tasks including weekly and daily reports, daily distribution of BEOs & changelogs, electronic reader board updates, office supplies and repairs
- Replies to RFP and inquiries
