CATERING COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:

Detail oriented, service driven individual who is obsessively passionate about providing memorable experiences to all guests through planning and executing seamless events.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

  • Proven luxury hotel experience within the meeting and events industry.
  • Must have good knowledge of food and beverage. Banquet experience and asset.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Opera Clouds and OSEM and Social Tables floorplan program an asset.
  • Confident in understanding and explaining contractual information to clients.
  • Results oriented, positive, service driven with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
  • Adapts to change with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for guest service and a desire to be a part of a driven team.
  • Must be very flexible with work hours to correspond with department, guest & business demands. May be required to work some weekends as business dictates.
  • A strong team player, able to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good problem solver, confident, energetic and flexible.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate all aspects of catering events, from initial inquiry to post event follow-up
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences
  • Liaise with culinary and front of house teams to ensure efficient execution of catering orders
  • Liaise with in-house audio-visual team
  • Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination to guarantee a flawless guest experience
  • Maintain accurate records of client communications, contracts, billing information
  • Working with accounting manager to ensure payments are up to date
  • Looking after all tour catering bookings
  • Assist in working with wedding market
  • Uphold high standards of service and presentation and professionalism
  • Administrative tasks including weekly and daily reports, daily distribution of BEOs & changelogs, electronic reader board updates, office supplies and repairs
  • Replies to RFP and inquiries
