This is an onsite position in Killarney, Ontario
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the On Site Event Manager will play a key role in enhancing the overall group guest experience by providing exceptional service for our group clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Event Execution leader for the lodge’s client service team to manage and execute group events across the properties/facilities.
- Assist in communication with clients and/or department management to take the planned specifics surrounding client events to implementation executing on the timing, venues, audiences, budgets etc.
- Work cooperatively with the Food & Beverage Manager to marshal the resources required for each event, providing direction on the events during events ensuring all details of the events are executed according to the lodge’s high-quality standards.
- Create a positive work environment and being an effective role model by championing lodge’s mission, vision and values.
- Ensure all sales are processed according to resort standards and all receipts are processed and distributed to client, front desk and Client Relations Manager
- Facilitate and execute all set ups in conjunction with the front of house staff and maintenance.
- Ensure tear down and re-sets are managed correctly, rooms are left in a ready steady available for showings
- Attend BEO meetings weekly to discuss all aspects of the event for a 2-week range with department heads
- Close out all events and keep logs of discussions with the client
- All other duties as assigned
Key Goals
- The incumbent will collaborate across the business from management, clients and operations to pro-actively execute group events with a constant focus on client satisfaction and retention, enhancing brand awareness and reputation for prospective new clients and intermediary referral sources.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Catering Management experience required
- Smart Serve certification
- Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a high school level.
- Knowledge of hotel property, facilities, history and region
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system and property management system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
Supervision & Budget Authority

Physical Environment
- Be in good physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching and stretching.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,150.00 per week
