As a catering supervisor you will be involved in all aspects of the catering service including food preparation, food service, till operation and barista coffee making.
About the role:
Kings Food are looking to recruit a Catering Supervisor to work at our Franklin Wilkins Building on our Waterloo campus. As a catering supervisor you will be involved in all aspects of the catering service including food preparation, food service, till operation and barista coffee making. You will be based at our Strand campus and work across several restaurants and coffee shops. The key responsibilities of the role include:
To be responsible for the catering area under your control
To liaise and support the management team where required
Control the purchase of a range of food items
Supervise on a day-to-day basis all staff under your control
Control of daily card payment takings
Office administration
To ensure that the service is delivered efficiently, within budget and to the required standard
To ensure that all health and safety legislation is adhered to
This role will be offered on a full time (35 hour) basis on an indefinite contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Educated to GCSE or equivalent
2. Knowledge and understanding of relevant health, hygiene, and safety regulations
3. To be numerate
4. Experience of working in a catering environment
5. Experience of customer care
6. Experience of managing and supervising a team
7. Experience of ordering food and other retail items
8. Good written and oral communications skills
Desirable criteria
1. Hold a recognised catering qualification
2. Hold a current food handlers’ certificate
