Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Catering Tutor to join our team at HMP/YOI Peterborough. In this rewarding role, you will support and inspire learners to gain recognised catering qualifications, helping them build valuable skills for future employment. Working closely with the Training, Skills & Employment Manager, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring each learner has the opportunity to succeed.
Beyond teaching, you will play a vital role in challenging negative behaviours, fostering self-esteem, and supporting rehabilitation. Your work will directly contribute to improving employability prospects for prisoners, ultimately helping to reduce reoffending rates. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and structured learning environment, adhering to relevant prison policies and procedures. With your guidance, learners will not only develop culinary expertise but also gain the confidence and motivation to take positive steps forward.
