It’s a stipulation of the post that applicants will only be eligible if they have BABCP accreditation and are not currently working in the NHS or NHS commissioned service. This will be a permanent contract.
The team hub is based at 12-14 Station Road, Harrow, HA1 2SL.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The post holders will be expected to provide psychological treatment for common mental health problems at step 3 level and carry out other duties such as triage and provision of clinical supervision to low intensity workers, trainees, assistants and other staff as required. We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and working independently as well as within a team context.
This post would be suitable for experienced practitioners or newly qualified CBT therapists. In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be BABCP accredited and not working with NHS or NHS commissioned service.
The post holder will be expected to participate in extended hours clinics offered by the service which include early morning and late evening clinics. Ability to deliver therapy in local language is desirable.
We are a well-established service that is responsible for the provision of Low intensity and High Intensity therapies within the standards of stepped care model at steps 2 and 3. Alongside high and low intensity CBT interventions, the CNWL Talking Therapies Harrow service also has a counselling service at step 3. Individual and group-based treatments are provided at step 2 and step 3 levels.
The Service is currently offering a combination of face-to-face and remote working (delivered either via home working or from our office base). We offer agile working opportunities to all of our staff, which would enable you to work flexibly from home for a good proportion of your week and have a work pattern that suits your lifestyle.
The team consistently meets its access and recovery targets and undertakes further projects and service innovation work to meet new demands and needs of the local population. We offer outreach programmes and webinars to our local community that focuses on improving psychological wellbeing. There are clear and well-defined systems for triaging and screening of incoming referrals, allocation of clients to step 2 and step 3, management of waiting lists and stepping up and stepping down clients as appropriate. We also have good links and clear set pathways with local Perinatal, and Community Mental Health Teams.
The post holders will be expected to provide psychological assessment and treatment for common mental health problems at step 3 level and carry out other duties such as triage and provision of clinical supervision to low intensity workers, trainees, assistants and other staff as required.
The post holders will receive regular supervision and support from a Senior Clinician as well as benefit from peer support and guidance from other team members.
