Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The new UKRI CDT in Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Innovation, hosted by the School of Informatics, is recruiting a CDT Administrator. The programme will recruit and support 5 cohorts of doctoral students and train the next generation of leaders in AI solutions in the biomedical domain for the public good. We are looking for a confident self-starter with a passion for delivering excellent service and support and a keen attention to detail.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint and experience of interrogating and updating specialist databases, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication. Flexible attitude and experience in customer service.
  • Significant experience of working in a busy administrative office, ideally in an HE environment, with proven ability to take initiative and proactively manage competing job demands.
  • Experience of committee servicing / minute taking and event management.
  • Experience in interpreting, applying and advising on complex institutional policies and procedures, preferably in the following areas: purchasing, expenses, student recruitment, on-course student support.
