Description:

NATURE OF THE WORK:

The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing a set of administrative functions of a relatively complex nature according to established methods and procedures and clerical functions related to activities in this area. Specifically, the individual will be supporting regular credit pre-university activities and CECS reception.
CECS responsibilities will also include evening credit division, AEC, non-credit, corporate training, and other dossiers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To have a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or a diploma or attestation of studies, which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and at least one (1) year of pertinent experience

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-university continuing education (evening division and summer):
  • Support the responsible professional and manager
  • Prepare and update hiring and contract documentation
  • Liaise with departments, Human Resources and Finance about teacher absences, substitutions, contracts, etc.
  • Post information and class cancellation notifications
  • Support the preparation, distribution, and processing of confidential teacher evaluations
  • Assist in administrative matters related to teacher orientation
  • Distribute information to students and teachers
  • Reception:
  • Member of the reception workgroup
  • Greet, screen and direct general public, corporate clients, students, and faculty to the appropriate person/information
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to inquiries about CECS course offerings (by phone or in-person)
  • Assist in admission and course registration, including payment collection, interview scheduling, testing, etc.
  • Prepare daily cash reports
  • Perform other related tasks as required
