The newly established Center for Bioprocessing (C4B), strategically located within the renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, is situated at Levit Green. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by a dedicated team of experts, C4B is poised to drive innovation in bioprocessing.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This entry-level position is suitable for individuals who are starting their industrial career and seeking an opportunity to gain practical experience in the field. The ideal candidate should be a team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment, where teamwork is essential for success. The candidate must be open to a flexible schedule, which requires working weekends (Saturday and Sunday) making a total work week of 3 Weekdays and 2 Weekend days (40 Hour Work Week).
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA or BS degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Experience in mammalian cell culture including but not limited to HEK293 and CHO cell lines.
- Background and familiarity with novel technologies for conducting mammalian suspension cell cultures.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills in wet lab environments, effectively troubleshooting and overcoming challenges during experiments.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills for documenting experiments and preparing reports.
- This is an Entry Level position.
- Open to a flexible schedule, including working the weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities:
- Conduct recombinant protein expression using suspension culture techniques in mammalian and insect cell systems using aseptic techniques.
- Record project results and observations in electronic lab notebooks.
- Participate in team meetings and present data and results
- Adhere to work schedules, conducting technical benchwork for projects.
- Follow safety regulations.
