(CEN) COST CONTROL ENGINEER - TEMPORARY POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION

Organize, coordinate, and control the cost control of large projects in CEMEX, develop and apply cost control tools in order to accomplish project goal. Ensure the implementation of strategies to plan and accomplish the objective cost for projects. Coordinates interaction between project team and contractors, define and establish commitments to complete project according with budget authorized. Advice the project staff by facilitating project communication activities (time project reports, meetings, performance reporting and team building workshops).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree: Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineer, Engineering
• Knowledge of PC Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.
• Language Skills: 100% English.
• 0-5 years in Manufacturing, materials, cement, project administration.
• Technical knowledge:
• General knowledge of engineering, equipment and construction procedures.
• General knowledge of project management.
• Strategic and Analytical Thinking
• Structured & analytical, being capable of detecting relevant facts for integral problem solving.
• Communication of ideas effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to work effectively with others to accomplish common goals.

• Create and maintain the Project Cost Estimation and Project Budgeting Control tools.
• Ensure and develop the governance for the budget estimation and budgeting control processes.
• Provide support to GOT&EVP to apply the governance with the regions during the project execution.
• Provide support to manage the projects of the GOT&EVP.
• Provide training support to the members of the project management teams (Regional teams, GOT&EVP and external employees).
