Description:

Are you looking for a new challenge in an innovative and dynamic organisation? One where you can develop your career, enhance your skills and be a part of delivering great care for patients? A place you’ll be valued for the contribution you make to patient safety and our ambition to be the best employer?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, kind, responsive and adaptable professional to join us as an investigator in our central investigation team. With services based across Kent, Sussex and London you will need to be prepared to travel, although much of the time you’ll work remotely and will connect with colleagues digitally.
You’ll be part of the People and OD team, responsible for the provision of a first-class HR investigatory service across the Trust utilising established project management methodologies. You’ll investigate the most complex HR issues, including disciplinary, resolution and accountability (grievance and bullying and harassment) and freedom to speak-up (whistleblowing) cases and provide expert advice and support to managers tasked with undertaking HR investigations within their services.
We put patients first and we expect all of our colleagues to do the same, so although NHS experience isn’t a requirement for this role you’ll need to share our passion for delivering excellent patient care and keep that passion at the forefront of your professional activity at all times. If you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas, why not join us!
You’ll be an experienced investigator with an excellent understanding of employment legislation, regulations, case law and ACAS guidelines. Organisation, project management, strong communication skills, impartiality and objectivity are all essential. You’ll also be adept at analytical and critical thinking and have exceptional attention to detail.
You’ll have a range of responsibilities which will include;
Developing, maintaining and reviewing effective systems and processes to deliver a high-quality investigation service to the Trust.
Undertaking high-quality, robust investigations.
Preparing succinct and timely investigation reports.
Providing peer support to others undertaking investigations.
Regularly monitor and report against agreed KPI’s and performance measures.
Producing reports that share key themes and trends, lessons learnt and agreed actions to address any identified areas of concern.
Developing, reviewing and delivering specialist training.
Conducting audits of processes, cases and systems to ensure compliance.
Utilising technology to maximise and drive innovation, efficiency and productivity.
You’ll get;
A competitive salary, not commission based.
A great NHS pension and benefits package.
A supportive workplace where your health and wellbeing is a high priority.
A place to bring your ‘whole-self’ to work.
Remote and flexible working options.
