Oversees patient transport tasks. Assists in the daily functioning of the department in support of patient transport care and needs.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma in Hospital/ Business Administration or other related discipline or High School Education is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
No experience is required with Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (on-job training), one (1) year as Patient Care Assistant or related experience with High School Education is required.

Responsibilities:
- Allocates and utilizes Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) to assigned zones.
- Performs daily rounding to assure service needs are met, and complied with standards including dress code and infection control as well as ensuring health and wellness of PCAs.
- Provides input for employee evaluations.
- Represents PCAs in activities and meetings as required.
- Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
- Promotes a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying areas of risk to Supervisor, Central Patient Transport.
- Supports quality initiatives within Central Patient Transportation Section.
- Follows established telephone etiquette, and seeks assistance where appropriate.
- Performs dispatching duties when needed and as assigned.
- Adheres to the Employee Code of Conduct. Maintains confidentiality at all time.
