How you make a difference:
The Regional Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that medical care provided to patients in the region meets or exceeds constitutional requirements and applicable standards and regulations. They will supervise and provide care to patients, as well as effectively communicate with relevant agencies and institutions to ensure compliance. The Regional Medical Director will play a critical role in upholding the right to access professional medical judgment and care for patients in their region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and ensure compliance with treatment guidelines and policies across medical programs, accrediting and contracting agencies.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams and H.S.A.s to recruit and retain practitioners, improve quality of care, manage utilization and infection control, and deploy clinical initiatives.
  • Monitor Chronic Care Clinics and optimize the use of Telehealth services for monitoring, scheduling, and eConsult modules.
  • Attend Medical Executive Committee meetings and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.
  • Support Business Development with healthcare economics and market analysis relevant to third party payer reimbursement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • MD/DO from an accredited university.

Experience

  • Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Public Health preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must obtain and maintain current licensure within the states as required, accrediting and contracting agency. Maintains a current DEA number. Must maintain privileges. Maintains CME requirements for continued medical practice in each State.
