MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Master’s degree required
Certification:
Michigan special education teaching certificate or license in special education or related area
Work Experience:
Minimum of three years’ experience in the field. Experience consulting, CPI training, TEACCH, START, and ABA knowledge and experience is preferred.

• Ability to lead teams in developing functional behavior assessment and positive behavior support plans
• Possess highly effective communication skills
• Possess excellent follow through and reliability
• Possess knowledge of the child developmental norms and general education curriculum to support high quality instructional interventions
• Ability and desire to take initiative and lead a team of educators
• Ability to develop and provide professional development/learning
• Ability to collect and use data to make decisions
• Willingness and desire to provide and engage in professional learning
• Presents with a high level of kindness and professionalism
• Follow through on assigned responsibilities within agreed upon time lines.
• Follow Van Buren ISD school policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
