Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Centre Director is key to building a team that will embrace our wonderful Green Leaves Commitments, and aim for excellence in day-to-day practice.

About the Role

  • Be empowered to run an efficient and smooth operation
  • Put children and parents first where we take the time to greet everyone and ensure they have the best possible experience with Green Leaves via high-quality tours and orientations
  • Recruit, motivate and inspire a team of passionate educators to best practice
  • Oversee and guide the highest quality of classroom curriculum and pedagogical documentation
  • Ensure immaculate Centre presentation within the internal and external play spaces
  • Understand and interpret the relevant industry regulations and legislation, including the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework
  • Build and engage with local communities, creating strong ties and relationships with the community and surrounding networks.

Qualifications

  • Current ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification (Early Childhood)
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Strong understanding of Regulation/Legislation, plus Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) essential
  • Hands-on experience running a Centre, including effective rostering and wage control, and guiding a large team’s performance
  • Strong team leadership abilities with experience leading, inspiring and developing a team of professional educators
  • Strong knowledge of computer skills, including Qikkids, CCMS, and ISS.

Green Leaves Early Learning Ashgrove Cottage is a state-of-the-art educational haven located on Ashgrove Avenue. Our small, boutique centre caters for just 54 children and is located on a quiet and peaceful street in Ashgrove.
At dropoff, families are offered freshly baked goods and a barista coffee to take away or enjoy in the parent lounge. Downstairs you’ll find our Nursery Room, while upstairs we have our Toddler and Kindergarten room which each feature their own outdoor play space. And not to mention our amazing music program!
