The Chief Executive Officer is a pivotal leadership position responsible for spearheading the expansion and operational excellence across North America. This role demands a strategic thinker with a profound understanding of the correctional system, addiction and mental health recovery, and the ability to navigate complex political and business landscapes.
The Chief Executive Officer of Correctional Care is a critical leadership role that requires a dynamic and visionary individual. This executive is tasked with driving the expansion and ensuring the operational excellence of our services across North America, with a focus on providing recovery-oriented addiction and mental health treatment within provincial, state, and federal correctional systems.
Role-specific Accountabilities

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in correctional systems, with a preference for those who have held executive roles in provincial/state corrections or private corrections companies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of addiction and mental health recovery principles, with a focus on recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and business development.
  • Advanced understanding of the political and legislative landscapes in both the US and Canada as they pertain to corrections and public health.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and advocating for change.
  • A Master’s or Ph.D. in criminology, public policy, business administration, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the expansion of correctional care services across Canada and targeted markets in the United States.
  • Lead all operational aspects of correctional care services, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices in addiction and mental health treatment.
  • Forge strong partnerships with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to promote the organization’s mission and expand its reach.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Advocate for policy changes and initiatives that support the integration of recovery-oriented care within correctional systems.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the organization, leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.

This is a fulltime position based on-site in Alberta, Canada. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Alberta, Canada, and travel as needed to support business operations and expansion efforts.
