Imagine leading an international team, being responsible for driving growth and integrating commercial, financial, and operational strategies.
As CEO of Scan-Hide (a subsidiary of Danish Crown), you will shape the future of high-end leather production for world-class brands.
Your key focus will be aligning the value chain for a company deeply rooted in the finest Scandinavian craftsmanship – from raw material procurement to leather sales. Leather is increasingly in demand, and you will play a crucial role in shaping this upward trend.
After a period of uncertain consumer spending, there is now a renewed interest in new styles within both consumers and designers. As a result, high-end leather products for home and fashion are in higher demand. Therefore, Scan-Hide is likely to anticipate years of growth.
In short: You will have a central role in driving Scan-Hide’s success and future growth – a position at the heart of a growing industry.

AN EXPERIENCED LEADER

You are commercially strong and bring extraordinary leadership results from solid management experience. Production experience is not as important as the qualifications you bring to the position.
Ideally, you hold an Executive MBA or the like as well as relevant experience from the leather industry.

The following points characterize you as a professional:

  • Good international cooperation skills.
  • Solid understanding of product calculations.
  • Preferably knowledge of the furniture or fashion industry.
  • Fluent in English. Italian and German are plusses.
  • Substantial experience within stakeholder management of both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a holistic and overall perspective and resource allocation, incl. purchase of raw materials (hides) and coordination of quotation on the commodity / pricing.
  • Strategy development and execution.
  • Develop the brand SPOOR in the fashion industry in Europe.
  • Understand the commodity market for hides while being able to look further ahead in the value chain for finished leather.
  • Driving the ESG agenda, including sustainability, animal welfare, protect the land, etc.
  • Lead and develop the organization in accordance with strategy, situation, etc.
  • Inspire and motivate – set the direction.
