SUMMARY:
Join the Novant Health family as a Medical Assistant in our vibrant family practice! In this essential role, you will provide direct nursing care in a supportive medical office environment. Under the guidance of our physicians, you will assist with patient care, support our medical providers, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in accordance with our practice’s policies.
EDUCATION:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
EXPERIENCE:
- Required: Minimum of one year of experience in a physician office or similar healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient needs and contribute to individualized health plans.
- Complete all necessary documentation in patients’ medical records in line with Novant Health’s charting policies.
- Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Schedule specialized consultations and testing appointments as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure a sterile, organized environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
