THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a versatile professional to join our team on a full-time basis as a cross-trained Certified Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Accredited Medical Assistant Program degree
  • Current/active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Athena
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous

Responsibilities:

Certified Medical Assistant Duties:

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are well-stocked.
  • Assist providers with patient care, including lab tests and administering medications.
  • Educate patients on medication and diet plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and handle billing information.
  • Manage medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and stay updated with industry knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Medical Receptionist Duties:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally.
  • Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Address patient inquiries and assist with billing issues.
  • Update patient records in the EMR system accurately.
  • Contact patients for appointment confirmations and reminders.
  • Perform clerical duties such as greeting patients, managing mail, and coordinating referrals.
