Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

Under moderate supervision, the Certified Pool Operator will oversee pool and spa areas to assure the safety of all users. Check users for valid passes. Maintain pool and spa areas in compliance with established regulations. The Certified Pool Operator will also monitor pool levels and work with management to maintain health and safety standards, and maintain any relevant certification necessary for the role.
Compensation: $22-24/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Explain and enforce pool and spa regulations for safety and compliance with TKPOA regulations.
  • Observe pool/spa areas to detect hazardous or life-threatening conditions.
  • Check recreation passes and take proper action should passes be invalid.
  • Complete safety and incident reports, and immediately advise Supervisor of incident and action taken. Advise Supervisor of any hazardous equipment or facility.
  • Perform maintenance and repair as directed by the Supervisor, including testing of water and the application of chemicals.
  • Always remain alert. Walk the facilities on a regular basis to assure the safety of all users and observers.
  • Maintain a pleasant environment for users and surrounding neighbors.
  • Monitor/adjust pool chemical levelsPerform such other duties as may be assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to explain and enforce safety rules and TKPOA regulations.
  • Ability to pleasantly and tactfully interact with owners, renters and guests.
  • Ability to follow oral or written directions.
  • Ability to perform simple math for chemical testing and chemical adjustments.
  • Ability to properly handle and store chemicals safely.

Education & Experience:

  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in swimming and swimming instruction. Must have experience with public contact.
  • CPO certification preferred.
