Description:

CFO

A client of ours is looking for a CFO for a contract role. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing leadership in financial reporting, and ensuring the company’s financial health. The ideal candidate has hands-on CFO experience, a proven track record in mid-market companies, and expertise in FP& A and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities of CFO
Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
Oversee the year-end financial closing process, including audits and working with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP& A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing strategic insights to support business decisions
Leverage prior experience working within mid-market organizations to implement best practices, improve financial processes, and drive profitable growth.
Apply a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, cost structures, and financial performance metrics to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Take a proactive, hands-on approach to managing day-to-day financial operations, including treasury, cash flow management, and cost control initiatives.
Oversee the preparation and review of all financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards and company policies.
Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications of CFO
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
10+years’ experience as a CFO in the manufacturing industry
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Year-end preparation experience, including audits and financial closing.
FP& A expertise, including data analysis, modeling, and variance analysis.
Hands-on approach to managing financial operations in a mid-market company.
Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and key financial metrics.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software.
