Description:

We are in search of a diligent CFO to join our team in HAUPPAUGE, New York. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, manage the company’s accounting functions, and provide critical financial insights to support our strategic decisions. This role involves responsibilities in grant management, auditing, budgeting, and human resource oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including the maintenance of the books of original entry, bank reconciliation, and payroll management
  • Manage grant accounting and function as Grant Officer, which includes establishing and maintaining all required compliance documentation
  • Prepare and report financial statements on a regular basis
  • Facilitate annual audit processes and act as a liaison with external CPA firms
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, including the creation of program budgets and forecasts
  • Assist senior management in financial oversight and decision-making
  • Conduct Board presentations and assist in strategic planning
  • Oversee human resources functions and supervise staff to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Utilize Accounting Software Systems to streamline financial operations and records
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and auditing standards
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-level financial role
  • CPA designation
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems is essential
  • Demonstrated ability in overseeing accounting functions
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing audit findings
  • Proficiency in budget processes including planning, development, and execution
  • Knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Experience in grant accounting and grant management is preferred
  • Ability to prepare and present monthly financial statements
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
