We are in search of a Chief Financial Officer to join a notable nonprofit in northern Colorado. This is a pivotal role in the organization, tasked with overseeing accounting, finance, administration, human resources, and information technology. The Chief Financial Officer will be a key stakeholder in the executive leadership team and will be responsible for strategic financial planning, including fund management, capital investments, and financial forecasting.

• Oversee all accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Lead a small team, including an accounting Controller, and manage day-to-day operations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for financial growth and stability.
• Manage multi-entity and consolidated budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
• Oversee the administration of human resources and information technology departments, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership in financial planning, including forecasting, capital management, and cash flow analysis.
• Manage contracts and maintain strong relationships with government services.
• Implement and oversee use of accounting software systems and business systems for efficient operations.
• Administer and manage payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Conduct regular audits and financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain financial models and consolidated financial statements.
• Proven experience in a CFO role or similar financial leadership position for a minimum of 10 years
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Business Systems and Accounting Functions
• Demonstrable experience in Auditing and Budget Processes
• Expertise in Capital Management and Cash Flow Analysis
• Strong understanding of Financial Management and Human Resources (HR) Administration
• Knowledge of IT administration and Business Administration
• Excellent skills in Financial Modeling and Financial Statements Consolidation
• Experience in Payroll Management
• Strong leadership abilities and strategic thinking
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Relevant certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
