CFO/VP Finance role with a GPU-focused Cloud Compute Provider

  Our client specialises in providing cloud-based GPU-powered high-performance compute to users of AI, including tech companies, corporates, governments, academia, etc. It is a cloud infrastructure startup firm backed by established fund houses with a strong expansion trajectory. It is seeking a CFO or VP finance strong on project/debt financing to join its new start up team.
  This is a great opportunity to join a company from its startup stage and together as part of a highly motivated senior management team, build a sustainable business with immense future potential.
  For this role, you will report directly to the CEO and the management team of the VC firm (backing up this start up). You will be involved in extensive capital raising and debt financing work as the key focus. In addition, you are responsible for providing financial leadership and managing the internal finance operations of this start up including overseeing all aspects of the operational finance and accounting functions, applying for tax exemptions for the start-up, setting up the finance team etc.

The successful applicant should possess the following requirements/qualifications:

• Possess a degree in finance, business , commerce degree completed with a renowned university
• Has a minimum of 8 years of relevant project financing / structured financing experience gained with renowned investment banks. Or you are a senior financial controller/ finance director in the related infrastructure space with strong debt financing experience.
• Strong on debt financing.
• Added industry exposure gained in the infrastructure space including data centres or cloud centres is beneficial (but not a must)
• Passionate and driven to work in a startup co with huge growth potential
• A self-starter who is driven, entrepreneurial with a positive and can-do attitude. Very hands-on and adaptable with a good threshold to work with ambiguity expected in a start-up environment.
• Possess excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Abe to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
• Mandarin speaking proficiency is required for this role (as you would be required to converse in Mandarin with colleagues based in China).
