THE POSITION

This position will provide administrative support to a team of magistrate judges. As a Chambers Judicial Assistant, you will receive files from out of court and process accordingly. This will include docketing documents filed in court, docket orders, distribute signed orders, and route files to appropriate locations. You will be responsible for the weekly review of matters under advisement for magistrate judges, perform calendaring duties, and will back up the in-court clerk as needed. Additionally, you will answer telephones and respond to e-mails and written correspondence for Magistrate Judge Team.
This position is assigned to the court’s classified service; incumbents will attain regular status after completion of the initial probationary period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate.

EDUCATION

If post-secondary education is required to meet the Minimum Qualifications, you must fill in the Education and Training section of the application. If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of credit hours earned in the Degree Obtained field. Copies of academic transcripts will be required at time of interview.
