The Opportunity
Grant Thornton’s Business Consulting unit has a number of career opportunities for change consultants at Assistant Manager level. These are challenging and fulfilling opportunities with the potential to develop your range of skills significantly.
The Change Manager will play a key role on our client’s change projects focusing on the operational side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. They will plan and manage change to ensure that projects meet their objectives by increasing adoption and usage in order to increase benefit realisation and the achievement of our client’s desired results and outcomes.
You will be a key member of the business consulting team, which conducts work in areas such as programme, project and change management, strategic planning, organisation review and design, and business process improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage change using a structured change management methodology;
  • Assessing and understanding the impact of change;
  • Creating change management strategies and plans;
  • Engaging project stakeholders in order to effectively manage change;
  • Evaluating business readiness;
  • Working with the wider project team to achieve client’s requirements;
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships at all levels in the organisation;
  • Supporting business development activities within the Grant Thornton team; and
  • Mentoring more junior staff members.

Skills and Attributes:

  • 3 – 6 years’ of change management experience in a Change management role;
  • Change management diploma, certification or similar qualification;
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, etc.) desirable;
  • Prior consulting experience in a professional services environment is desirable;
  • Knowledge and experience of change management principles, methodologies and tools;
  • Experience in the following industry sectors will be of specific interest: public sector, life sciences and healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and client service excellence. The ability to develop good working relationships is critical; and
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills across project team, key partners and executive management.
