Description:

We have an excellent opportunity to join our waste treatment team in Reading as a Change and Continuous Improvement Lead where you will be responsible for the identification of continuous improvement opportunities to deliver in-year improvements in environmental outcomes.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A CHANGE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT LEAD

You will play a key role in creating and sustaining a continuous improvement approach to support an agile change culture within waste treatment. You will also work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify problems and implement changes to reduce costs and improve service outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working closely with all waste treatment team members to ensure alignment of turnaround activities and KPIs.
  • Provide an interface between transformation projects, turnaround project managers and waste treatment teams to ensure the delivery of business change initiatives.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops including A3s, problem-solving and root cause analysis, supporting operations to learn lessons from events and improve operations.
  • Drive asset availability, critical asset maintenance and alarm testing, as examples, through the understanding, delivery and optimisation of maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities and execute process mapping to improve ways of working.

Base Location: Hybrid- Clearwater Court.
Working hours: 36 Monday- Friday.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Ideally you will have previous experience or knowledge of waste treatment however this can be trained in-role with the successful candidate.
  • Previous experience in change management and/or business readiness experience and proven experience in delivering sustainable change projects.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to drive analysis, reporting and insights to contribute to making informed business decisions.
  • Experience in executing strategic plans and experience working across different disciplines and business segments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent planning skills and self-management capability.
  • Ideally you will be trained in LEAN and/or Six Sigma (or similar change methodology).
  • Ideally graduated in a relevant subject with relevant work experience in change management.
