This critical learning role is dedicated to driving compelling employee training and cultural change. Working directly with leaders and colleagues across the business, this individual will develop and deliver global change learning strategies and plans in support of Change Management team and other global functions’ programs.
The person in this role is committed to high quality and innovative learning solutions. will focus on programmatic change, driving the design, curation, and deployment of learning initiatives as part of an enterprise-wide transformation-related effort. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategy, framework, and roadmap for learning activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities. This role requires strong collaboration with key stakeholders across functions and regions.
Reporting to and working closely with the OCM Lead for global regulatory affairs change management, they will support change programs to help deliver seamless, accessible and engaging learning solutions in a complex environment. This role will also be responsible for effectively managing a team of learning consultants across the portfolio of regulatory change work.
This is a hands-on role that requires a learning expert who will both conceive and implement the learning strategy and tactical elements.

The key responsibilities of the role may include:

  • Develop change learning plan and implement global employee learning strategies and tactics in support of global regulatory affairs training and programs that drive cultural change, engagement and risk management.
  • Drive employee connection to our purpose, the role the global regulatory affairs at the Bank, our strategic vision, beliefs and ways of working, and to their leaders and each other.
  • Align learning strategies, plans and activities to tell a cohesive story across the entire risk and controls enhancement program.
  • Leverage enterprise-wide learning channels and tactics to inform, educate, and engage Northern Trust partners.
  • Lead the design and curation of global learning upskilling programs for the Bank’s Risk and Control Enhancements Program transformation initiatives, including audience segmentation and alignment to business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps for learning upskilling activities, prioritizing methods and modalities based on organizational knowledge and program leadership guidance
  • Provide project management support including planning, tracking of key activities, ensuring timely delivery, and providing regular status reporting to program stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage a team of change learning consultants in support of the risk and control enhancement program for global regulatory affairs.
  • Work closely with Change Communications Manager to map planned learning across projects to ensure cohesive change stories to impacted stakeholder groups
  • Ensure reviewers and approvers are understood and documented to enable an efficient content distribution process (i.e., SMEs, HR, Legal, Business Leaders)

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. 7+ years of employee learning experience supporting enterprise-wide programs.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner, including on high-sensitivity topics
  • Proven experience managing delivery of critical changes in complex environment
  • Ability to establish trust-based relationships with stakeholders across enterprise, including experience effectively reviewing and challenging and raising awareness of key stakeholders
  • Shows expertise in developing and delivering impactful learning solutions. Able to rapidly weigh all factors and complexities in guiding and influencing learning development.
  • Work with learning partners across all businesses to understand employee audiences, adapting learning strategies to address unique needs.
  • Keen understanding of innovative and best practice learning channels, methodology and measurement.
  • Practiced capacity to handle complex projects with multiple partners using influencing skills.
  • Brings a business outcomes approach to learning work.
  • Experience in learning strategy, design, development, systems/technology
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management (including managing cross-functionally and partnering with all levels of the organization)
  • Strong business acumen and insight, with the ability to translate strategic business goals into appropriate development and talent programs that balance the evolving priorities of the organization
  • Set and continually manage Change Management expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Coach, mentor, and lead project team members (project team and internal customers), educating each in the process and tools being used and their role in the process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proven successful track record working in large/complex multi-location programs/projects
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
