CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years in the building industry, with knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce preferred)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with large groups and a strong network within the commercial design and construction community
  • Must possess a current and valid driver licence
  • Tertiary degree in Sales/Marketing or related discipline
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships and handle conflicts effectively
  • Empower and support team members through coaching, providing feedback, adapt and respond positively to change
  • Understand economic and social trends that impact the organisation

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Knauf is looking for an experienced Channel Segment Manager to join our sales team. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure in join our high performing business based in Camellia, NSW. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, this role will strategically manage all participants within the Channel segment, focusing on both Reseller and Hardware partners.
This role aims to align with Knauf’s strategic objectives for both aligned and non-aligned partners, maintaining market share while achieving targeted business outcomes. The Channel Manager will engage with key customer stakeholders to ensure compliance with agreements and operating parameters, partnering on opportunities and common goals through detailed account planning. Additionally, the position will liaise with internal teams to ensure service levels meet agreed standards and industry best practices.

SOME DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Build and maintain strong multilevel relationships with decision-makers and identify opportunities for increasing sales within the existing customer base
  • Develop action plans for key projects in collaboration with state sales management
  • Plan and coordinate sales territory, call cycles, and project tracking
  • Address product quality and service issues promptly and conduct business transactions professionally and legally
  • Coordinate sale activities, project tracking, prepare and maintain detailed account plans, analyze market trends and future needs
  • Coordinate with distributors on product use and quality issues across a diverse range of products
  • Understand local building industry regulations to leverage Knauf’s products effectively
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, reporting insights to management
  • Foster effective communication, provide and receive constructive performance feedback within the team and with external contacts.
  • Seek opportunities for personal and team development through training and experience
