The Business Advisory Chapter Lead develops and leads a diverse and inclusive team of Value & Insight Coaches (Strategic Finance and Business Analytics) and Strategic Procurement Partners as well as oversight for our financial reporting and compliance.
The team leverages their broad strategic financial & analytical expertise and deep understanding of financials to guide decision-making, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the affiliate.
In this role, you will role model a portfolio and entrepreneurial mindset and play a key role in enabling the integration of the affiliate strategy with the prioritisation of outcomes and allocation of resources that optimise value creation. You intentionally build connections with internal and external networks in driving a shared responsibility in advancing insights generations and analytics through innovation, technology and robust data strategy.
In this leadership role you will demonstrate Creative Leadership competencies and play the roles of VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coach); developing and empowering Roche employees to innovate, collaborate, be authentic and own their impact. Through development of chapter members, you will maintain a ready pool of talent to be drawn upon by squads, work streams and Community Leads and more broadly in the Roche global network to deliver on Roche’s short and long-term priorities.

Responsibilities:

As an inspiring coach, the Business Advisory Chapter Lead:

  • Provides leadership of team members within their Chapter, with a Creative Leadership mindset and the VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach).
  • Fosters collaboration and expertise-sharing across the organisation to remove silos and duplication, ensure efficient use of skill-sets and to ultimately support common pursuit of the north star
  • Develops the long term strategy to ensure that the team capabilities are fit for purpose now and in the future to meet internal and external demands.
  • Enhances and develops the agile planning framework/ components
  • Stays abreast of trends in the external environment that could impact the business currently and in the future
  • Ensures ruthless prioritisation to manage balance between foundational work, squad-prioritised work and personal development

With the team:

  • Models business scenarios and tracks performance metrics to enable the organisation to make strategic and financially sound decisions
  • Provides insights, sets objectives and drives transformation initiatives that will ensure a sustainable business
  • Balances the roles of trusted advisor and guardian to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and optimise resource allocation to ensure a financially sustainable business to maximise value to patients, partners and Roche
  • Draws insight from analysis and discussions across the business and develops compelling, synthesised recommendations
  • Provides data-supported insights to squads and teams to help improve their business
  • Uses predictive and statistical modelling techniques to solve challenges, uncover opportunities and develop solutions for client business
