Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Charge Nuclear Medicine Technologist at the forefront of diagnostic innovation in our Bowen branch. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a dedicated team of professionals and manage the delivery of cutting-edge Positron Emission Tomography (PET) services. Your leadership will be instrumental in mentoring the PET CT team, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving excellence in patient care.

As the Charge NMT, your responsibilities will include:

  • Spearheading the Nuclear Medicine team with inspiring leadership, providing mentorship, and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Possess a strategic mindset and a proven ability to inspire teams to exceed their potential,
  • Driving innovation and excellence across their clinical field.
  • Conducting a comprehensive array of diagnostic PET procedures, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in IV cannulation
  • Upholding stringent quality control measures in line with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Delivering compassionate patient care, coupled with clear and empathetic communication to patients and their support networks.
  • Managing the logistics of radiopharmaceuticals, including the ordering, receipt, verification, and administration of patient-specific doses adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Ensuring the safe monitoring, decontamination, and disposal of radioactive materials, in strict compliance with legal standards and company policies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or an equivalent credential.
  • A proven track record of performing a diverse spectrum of both standard and complex PET/CT procedures.
  • A high level of initiative and discernment, particularly in managing staff and operational performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The capacity to integrate seamlessly into team settings or to operate independently with equal effectiveness.
  • A CT certification, which is highly regarded.
