Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Chassis Controls Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of advanced chassis control systems for our next-generation automotive passenger mover. Leveraging your expertise in control systems and automotive engineering, you will lead the design, testing, and validation of chassis control software, ensuring the highest level of performance, safety, and comfort for our passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Chassis Control System Development: Lead the design, development, and integration of advanced chassis control algorithms and software for our passenger mover platform.
- Control System Calibration: Perform calibration and fine-tuning of chassis control systems to achieve optimal responsiveness, braking, traction, steering and stability control while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Integration and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of the chassis control systems into the overall vehicle architecture. Conduct rigorous testing to validate system performance and robustness.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements throughout the development process.
- Innovation and Research: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in chassis control technology, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead research initiatives to enhance our vehicle’s performance and efficiency.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test reports, and validation procedures, to support the development and production processes.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
- Latest State of the art technologies: Good to have an exposure to Brake & Steer by wire concept, ISO26262 & Cybersecurity
- Shall have an openmind to work hands on various Model based tools and vector devices.
- Strong command on the V model-based development
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields. Advanced certifications or specialized training in vehicle dynamics and control systems are a plus.
- Experience: Preferable in chassis controls development, vehicle dynamics, or similar roles within the automotive industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in control system design, calibration, and validation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, dSPACE, or similar software.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of automotive chassis systems, Steering system, Optional: vehicle stability control, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), traction control systems (TCS), electronic stability control (ESC), and related technologies.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities, utilizing data analysis and modeling techniques to identify and resolve complex issues in chassis control systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment, with a flexible attitude towards changing project requirements.
