QUALIFICATIONS D’EMPLOI: EXIGENCES EN MATIÈRE D’ÉDUCATION ET D’EXPÉRIENCE

• Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent
• Minimum 3 mois d’expérience de conduite commerciale
• Licence commerciale avec approbation des freins à air requise. (Un permis de classe 5 avec approbation des freins à air est acceptable à Alberta, Manitoba et en Colombie-Britannique).
• Doit détenir un permis de conduire actuel / valide de la province de résidence
• Ne doit avoir subi aucune infraction de déplacement au cours des trois (3) dernières années (exigence d’assurance)
• Doit être âgé d’au moins 21 ans (exigence d’assurance)
• Posséder un certificat de médecin légiste valide (si applicable à la licence requise dans la province de résidence)
• Expérience pratique avec des équipements électroniques et des logiciels
• Posséder des compétences en mathématiques suffisantes pour effectuer les tâches requises

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent and must be bilingual (speak, read and write in both French and English)
• Minimum 3 months of commercial driving experience
• Commercial license with air brake endorsement. General Class 5 license with air brake endorsement acceptable in Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia only.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license from the province of residence
• Must have no moving violations during the past three (3) years (insurance requirement)
• Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
• Possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (if applicable to required license in province of residence)
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software
• Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability frequently remain in stationary position for driving or operating forklift.
• Ability to frequently ascend/descend cab of truck and forklift using three points of contact
• Ability to frequently move about and position self frequently to operate equipment and deliver containers
• Ability to occasionally move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs (22kg)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus; strong sense of spatial relations to park vehicle and negotiate tight spaces.
• Ability to frequently use hands to write, use computer, operate a motor vehicle, operate equipment, use a handheld device, and manipulate documents
• Ability to regularly apply up to 40 pounds (18kg) of pressure using a variety of motions including, but not limited to, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Frequently required to read documents and write neatly, legibly and transcribe accurate information.
  Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information with manager, co-workers and customers

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner by following all safety rules
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle and lift
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs
• Use company handheld smartphone or computer for delivery verification and navigation
• Operate a forklift when needed
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customer
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Storage Center Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; Prepare driver notes as needed
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside)
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
