Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Checkout & Grocery Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the checkout while also assisting with various tasks in the grocery department. As a Checkout & Grocery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. If you are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this position.
Previous experience desirable but full training is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale systems.
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments securely and accurately, maintaining a balanced till.
- Bag items carefully and efficiently, ensuring the safety and convenience of customers.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure proper product placement in the grocery department.
- Help customers locate products and provide recommendations as needed.
- Assist with inventory management, including conducting stock checks and notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
This is a full-time position. This position is for 40hrs p/week - Tuesday – Saturday. Hours to be discussed at the interview stage.
