Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Newcastle Anglican is seeking a experienced Chefs to work in our Aged Care facilities either on a casual or Part time basis.
Aged Care facilities cover the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie area and you will require your own transport.
Hours of work 10:00am - 6:00pm including rotating weekends.
Lead by the Hospitality Services Manager, the Chef will be responsible for delivering consistent, well prepared meals. In this fast paced environment, you must be able to multi-task while ensuring the food safety program and procedures are adhered to, maintain quality standards of all work performed and be part of a positive working environment.

Responsibilities:
Providing support to all kitchen staff in cooking, food safety and cleaning duties
- Recognise and communicate problems effectively
- Handling multiple tasks and manage resources to meet competing deadlines and priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills including internal and external customers
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Requirements to travel across multiple services - Newcastle, Lake Macquarie & Central Coast
About you?
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (SIT30813)
Proven working experience as a Chef in a large scale kitchen environment
Demonstrated commercial cookery experience, including ordering and stock control
Ability to work as part of a flexible, multi-skilled team and individually
