KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary Expertise: Strong culinary skills, with an eye for detail and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Time Management: Capable of managing time efficiently, especially during busy service periods.
  • Food Safety: Up-to-date knowledge of health, hygiene, and food safety regulations. A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
  • Passion for Food: A deep passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

One of our esteemed clients is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Parties to join their culinary team. The successful candidate will manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standard, while supporting the overall kitchen operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation in line with the restaurant’s high standards.
  • Section Management: Oversee a specific section (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry), ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of dishes during service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food production.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels for your section, ensuring ingredients are ordered on time and waste is minimised.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  • Training and Mentoring: Assist in training and developing junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Participate in menu planning and development, contributing ideas for new dishes and improvements.
