Key Responsibilities of the Chef de Partie:

Pre-Opening & Restaurant Setup:

  • Assist in setting up the kitchen, including selecting equipment and arranging workstations.
  • Support in sourcing and selecting high-quality ingredients and suppliers.
  • Help develop standard recipes and preparation procedures.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff in Oriental cooking techniques.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are met (HACCP, local health codes).
  • Maintain proper storage of ingredients and monitor kitchen inventory.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation:

  • Oversee and manage the oriental kitchen section in addition to other sections when required.
  • Prepare and cook authentic Oriental dishes (from the Middle East).
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistency and high quality.
  • Maintain proper portion control and minimize waste.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef in planning and executing new menu items.
  • Supports the smooth running of the kitchen department, where all aspects of the guest dining experience throughout the whole Hotel are delivered to the highest level

Teamwork & Leadership:

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
  • Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Assist in managing kitchen staff scheduling and operational efficiency.
  • Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Deliver departmental plans and objectives, where hotel initiatives & targets are achieved.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE CHEF DE PARTIE - ORIENTAL:

  • Proven experience as a CDP specializing in Oriental cuisine
  • Experience in restaurant openings is a plus
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills
