ABOUT US

Water Lane Boathouse is canal-side pub serving seasonal fare in a relaxed environment with a waterfront garden sitting by Lock Number One at Leeds’ Canal Wharf. Food is available from noon seven days a week with a seasonally changing menu, the kitchen specializes in freshly made sourdough pizzas, a range of hot and cold sandwiches and a selection of healthy salad bowls, with special food offers on throughout the week. There’s plenty of seating across two floors, including a large canal-side outdoor area.

Responsibilities:

A chef de partie runs a specific section in a kitchen and reports to the Head Chef. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of dishes to the highest culinary standards. Your skills and attention to detail will ensure that every dish leaving your section is of the finest quality.
  • Assisting in maintaining high health and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
